Professional Counselor
I am a licensed professional counselor who is also certified in substance abuse counseling. I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005.
For as long as I can remember, I have been deeply curious about how the human mind works, and how our thoughts and life experiences can affect our day-to-day choices and behaviors. While I have specialized training in treating substance use problems, I also work with adults and teens who are dealing with a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma/abuse, and life stress. I truly enjoy helping people to achieve their goals, improve their relationships, and find better balance in life.
While Madison is my current home, I grew up on a farm in northeastern Wisconsin – this has given me a deep appreciation for rural life, and its unique joys and challenges. I feel very fortunate to work with the different communities in the Sauk county area. In addition to my work as a therapist, I enjoy reading, gardening, and exploring the many beautiful parks and natural areas of south central Wisconsin.
